LEGAL DEFENSE FUND
For The FYV6

October 5, 1999
All donations are being refunded. See letter from Local 667 President Loren Adams.
Thanks again with all our hearts.

All donations will be refunded September 30, 1999. The Fayetteville Postmaster has been reinstated to her old job. She "seems" to have a better attitude. All indications are that she will not re-file charges against the unions and individuals mentioned here. APWU HQs has committed to furnishing legal assistance to this Local if charges are re-filed.

Please accept the heartfelt THANKS of everybody here for the amazing assistance and support from across the nation that we received during this difficult time. It will never be forgotten!

STATEMENT FROM FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS
LOCAL UNION LEADERS

March 12, 1999

By Loren Adams, Local APWU President

After we started the fund-raising campaign, the liability insurer for the APWU
advised that it would defend us in this litigation. The three other national
postal unions (Letter Carriers, Rural Carriers, Mail Handlers) also notified
Fayetteville local union leaders they would be covered. However, we also
understand all parts of the lawsuit may not be covered under insurance plan.
Therefore, we will be offering return of funds as we mail thank you letters to
all who contributed. The Legal Defense Fund will continue as contingency. We
extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to all who participated.

The LEGAL DEFENSE FUND will continue, as stated, because we do not know
outcome of full coverage by insurance provider; nor do we know if our fellow
union leader from NALC will be covered. We are sending thank you letter to
all contributors with attachment to check whether they would like donation
refunded or to remain in fund. The support from over the nation was
overwhelming! From coast to coast, union locals and members have responded.

APWU President Moe Biller steppped in after learning of our plight and pledged
his full support. He made it possible for coverage under national's insurance
policy. Parts may not be covered, but Moe's full support is uncompromising,
nevertheless. On behalf of my fellow local union leaders and myself, we say
THANK YOU to Moe Biller and friends all over the USA!

If you are able to help please send your donation to
