JUNE 10, 2001 UNION MEETING SUMMARY

21 members were in attendance
All Officers except the Vice President were present.
Officers & Stewards reports were given & discussed.
Items discussed included:
One PTF has been converted to Regular.
A study is to be made on the feasibility of the Plant
working the Tour 3 mail of Ft. Smith and/or Harrison.
No new info on the latest pay anomaly problem.
Nothing new on the Casuals in lieu of grievance.
The electric cart in the Plant must meet safety requirements.
State Convention in Little Rock.
T-shirts for the organizing campaign.
Northwest Arkansas Labor Council.
The Picnic on June 23.
The Local's website.
New LMOU negotiated after the National Agreement.
Watched a video of the truckers' strike in Memphis


One motion was made under Old Business.
A motion to amend the Local Constitution & Bylaws was brought
up on the second reading.  It failed at the May meeting because it
was not unanimous.
The motion by Gini Hickman was to:
" Delete the last sentence of Article 4, Section 4, A, 3."
This regards duties of the Financial Secretary and reads,
"Copies will be furnished to those attending the meeting".
It referred to the financial report.
The motion passed 16-5.

Lisa White won the $50 door prize.
