Employees and or local union officers can get specific information about
the short and long term impact of slotting into the new schedule by calling
1-877-567-APWU (a toll free number).  The information provided is specific
to the individual. 

William Burrus is discussing the step C slotting for Grades 1 through 7.
He has proposed that the Service not slot employees from step C - rather
they would move into old step D and wait until April 21, 2001 for slotting.
The Service is seriously considering the proposal.
